  • The University of Toledo (UT) Climate Survey

  • The University of Toledo (UT) Climate Survey, developed by the Office of Institutional Research and led by the Office of Equity and Diversity, is for students, faculty, and staff of the UT campus to get a sense of the overall climate at UT and to determine ways to improve the culture of the UT community. The faculty and staff portion of the survey is also being used to provide data for a three year NSF funded grant called the Institutions Developing Excellence in Academic Leadership (IDEAL) designed to encourage career advancement of women and underrepresented minorities in STEM areas at UT.

The UT Climate Survey utilizes likert scales, multiple choice, and fill-in selections covering areas such as perception of overall climate, acceptance, diversity-related services, courses, programs and/or organizations, attitudes and feelings toward others, discrimination and harassment, and awareness.

The UT Climate survey will be conducted again in two years, and every two thereafter.
